I was new to the question game as an answerer-writer, & the first time I put up this slate of characters, 9 September, no one responded. So I reused them, 8 January. Then I got responses.
Then I didn't respond.
I hurt myself by my selection of characters. It was pretty much random, incorporating characters from old sitcoms as well as manga & such, & I didn't really think it through. So I have one character from the 19th Century, one from the far future, & one from the 1950's. And one of the first questions I was working on put the 19th Century character with the far-future character, so I had the 19th Century character travel forward in time to the far future. But then I had to have far future guy come back & deal with present-day characters. So then the story had to change.
Also, one of the pairings misterandersen's questions in general just broke my brain.
At some point I realized that to answer some of these questions I was going to have to look up something in the last Suicide Squad arc before the series ended, Kim Yale died, andBad Dan Raspler returned to his home planet. But my SS issues were no longer in their own shoebox, & I didn't dig them out until March 23.
One major thing that distracted me, after some important real-life deadlines, was starting to play Warflow, a curiously demanding little game that I suspect to have been designed to diminish Yankee productivity as part of a Xanatos Gambit. I don't know what the end point is. Maybe driving the USA into inflation will weaken the holdings of the Beijing government & allow some advancement into power of a former outsider as "economic savior." Or it's just a way for a small group of game designers to make money selling in-game gold to Yanks, I dunno. Anyway, it's bad having a game that wants me to keep it on for 8 hours every day, & check in on it every twenty minutes. Somehow this didn't translate into me writing for the meme meantime.
In the end I just flaked. In fact, I typed out & was going to post this almost two days ago, & put even that off!
So. I may as well get some amusement out of revealing the list. No longer taking questions.
