Tsukuba, Tsukuba
Oct. 30th, 2010 10:16 pmWell, I finished Penguin Revolution this week. There are only seven volumes. Way to leave all the ships open, Tsukuba! Yeesh!
~
Reading Land of the Blindfolded v. 7 now. Ooh, things are more serious. Eri-chan almost got stabbed. Thankfully, she jiujitsu's her way out of it, giving us a foreshadowing of Yukari's oft-on-display aikido in Penguin Revolution. Later, the hot springs episode gives us a triple embarrassment, also foreshadowing a repeated trope of Penguin Revolution.
Also, a minor character from volume 2 reappears, even getting to narrate a bonus story. Good use of continuity there.
Episodes 28-30 are amazing. I hadn't thought about what Arou's childhood must have been like after his mom died. Just wow.
