Silly answers!

The most recent question game, with all-female cast, as promised here. Never mind, I deleted that by mistake. (I was trying to get this to post properly by deleting and resubmitting, and I deleted the wrong one.)
OK, following on this, itself a spinoff of, "we love the women that fandom hates," I am going to try the question game again. I'm not going to promise that I've heard crap about every character on the list, but most characters draw crap, so...yeah, statistically, someone dislikes these women.

Comic book characters are pre-reboot in general (Marvel characters are pre-Civil War I guess).

1. Mattie Franklin, Spider-Woman
2. Janet van Dyne, the wondrous Wasp
3. Cassie Sandsmark, Wonder Girl
4. Vala Mal Doran
5. Helena Bertinelli, Huntress
6. Julia Carpenter, Spider-Woman a.k.a. Arachne
7. Lia Briggs, Looker
8. Starfleet Captain Kathryn Janeway
9. Lucy Pevensie, Queen of Narnia
10. Faith Lehane, the Slayer
11. Faith "the Fat Lady," JLA
12. Donna Troy
13. Eve Eden, Nightshade
14. Amy Pond
15. Susan Storm Richards, the Invisible Woman

gwenfrankenstein:
- Cassie Sandsmark, Lia Briggs, and Captain Janeway are given free reign of a time machine. When do they go? What do they try and change?

Lia had a chance to timey-wimey undo her own vampirization shortly after it happened, and didn't take it. (She may have been in shock; she's certainly complained about being a vampire since.) But Cassie and Captain Janeway are determined to undo Lia's vampire history (and the mass feeding on Abyssia that resulted) and will use Temporal Cold War tech to drag Lia back & fix it.

Two side effects:
Vampire!Lia, post time-travel, is still around in the new timeline, in a separate body. This allows "Lia" to apparently be two places at once: the classic Lia, who goes on to host The Scene as seen in Phil J's Wonder Woman, and the spooky vampire Lia that's appeared more recently in Outsiders comics.
Janeway tries to return to her own time and finds that she's been replaced by someone called Nicole Janeway (whom I now suspect has Abyssian blood). (Whaddaya mean Star Trek isn't in the future of the DCU?) So she comes back to our era for a while to appear in more of these silly questions.

[Yes, I turned your question into a fix fic. Also, I realized that I couldn't just call vampire!Lia,, "vamp!Lia," because classic (not "regular," never "regular") Lia has pretty much been a vamp since she got Lookerized.]

- Vala Mal Doran and Mattie Franklin are in jail. On what charges? Are they guilty? Will Janet Van Dyne bail either of them out?

Breaking into a government installation, in Harperistan. Yes, but they had a really good reason (at least they think so). Jan will bail out young Spider-Woman as a fellow member of the Marvel Super-Heroes club. Vala may have a harder time. Will Stargate Command return the Avengers' phone calls?

- Donna Troy decides to give Helena Bertinelli a makeover. Are they happy with the result?

Donna would have been if Helena hadn't been such a grump about it. Helena's not really a colorful-eyeshadow girl.

- Julia Carpenter sets Janet Van Dyne and Faith Lehane up on a blind date. But Jan's ex, Lucy Pevensie, is at the next table alone. Who does Jan go home with?

Yeah. I thought I might just let that piece of crack sit there. An answer might just be superfluous.

But the correct answer is, "neither." Unless Lucy Pevensie and Hank Pym are somehow the same person, in which case it's still, "neither."

Some guy who looks just like Paul McGann was sitting at the next table and Jan started flirting with him, while waiting for Faith, who was late. She moved to his table and stood Faith up. They talked all night and then she got in his dimensionally transcendental ship & set off for parts unknown. And that's the real reason Jan isn't around lately, never mind that "dying" story.

Wait, is that the other next table? No, the next table with Hank!Lucy, who was talking to the Doctor. No, yeah, another table.

Even #s vs Odd #s, #8 referees: what do they play and which team wins?

What, six on eight?
Janet van Dyne, Vala, Julia!Spider-Woman, Slayer!Faith, Donna Troy, and Amy Pond--wow, that's a high-powered team--vs.
Mattie!Spider-Woman, Cassie Sandsmark, Helena B., Lia Briggs, Queen Lucy, JLA!Faith, Eve Eden, and Sue Storm--that's an even more high-powered team.
The captain refs.

Some kind of Team Calvinball with Team Handball touches. Sadly, I think the powersets of JLA!Faith, Nightshade, and the Invisible Woman give them ridiculous advantage, unless Janeway starts penalizing the team for use of energy projection/teleport/invisibility powers. Which she probably would, but Lia's mix of telekinesis and mental domination is a real wild card as well. Seriously, the more I look at this, the more bizarrely unbalanced it appears. Of course, there may be a rule on how many players are on the field at a time.

Odd - even matchups:

Mattie - Julia: Spider-Women, Julia (evens) may have the edge
Cassie - Donna: Wonder Girls, Donna (evens) may have the edge
Helena & Queen Lucy - Vala & Amy Pond: human normal, really the question here is teamwork, which means...edge to evens as Helena is on odds.
Looker, Nightshade, Invisible Woman, and the ridiculously powerful Faith - the Wasp and a Slayer: overwhelming advantage to odds, even given that Lia may wander off, unless Janeway changes the rules very often.

Yeah, who put together these teams? I'll give it to the odd team.
