This is not my big post on the new Wondytogs. I may never write that....
I liked this costume. I want to think that Di kept the jacket, & if I wrote the book, I'd have her pull the jacket out sometimes. I would actually like a version of Wondy that wears a variety of outfits, many mostly "street clothes" but uses elements like the sky-blue jacket or the star earrings as identifiers.
A cute "Wonder Princess" costume.
So I liked the new togs on first look. I can understand getting sick of them after a while, but it's the sort of thing I like.
That said, I appreciate Ben Lundy's defense of the iconic colors. I come down more on the side of reinvention than trademark conservatism, especially in Wondy's case, but I think he answers some of my criticisms of the strapless backless whatthehell.
And I would like the classic costume more if it typically looked more like this:
Fanart of Di in a bustier with an actual back.
Or, you know, straps.
(I really am not Carol Strickland. We even disagree on things. For example, I like Cassie.)
