Resolutions
I don't make New Year's Resolutions. If I were going to make resolutions to change something on some arbitrary date, I think, I'd do that on my birthday or on some day of personal significance to me. But I don't do that either.
I guess, when I was a kid, I was kind of living the life I wanted to be anyway, insofar as I could do anything about it? I maybe thought of setting weird challenges for myself, but not, "I want to be better."
Now? I just don't feel like I have a lot of spoons left to accomplish much. Easier to feel helpless, I guess.
Or the things I do I decide to do when I decide to do them. New Year's? Who cares.
I like that answer better. If I change something, why wait until one day out of 365, one month out of twelve?
Of course, I did set this writing meme for January. Hey, it gave me time to mentally prepare for it.
OK, short as it is, this is the first of my January writing posts. On the 3rd, look for, “things about tumblr that make no sense and never will,” suggested by odditycollector.
