How to solve the timeline snarls for JSA kids (unfinished)
Insert an intermediate generation. -- The present Liberty Belle/Jesse Chambers is the granddaughter of the 1940's Johnny Quick. Jade & Obsidian could be Alan Scott's great-grandkids. [can be used piecemeal]
Move up the timeline. -- Dinah Drake was active from 1967-1982. The BoP Canary is her daughter. [can be used piecemeal]
20th Century melange -- just scramble the whole of the last century together & treat it as a single generation. The JSA fought Saddam Hitler in The War, etc.
It's 1978. It's always 1978. Geoff & I are still in preschool. Alex Ross has no pubes. Voodoo Economics, the Tianenmen massacre, are still in the future. Forever.
Collapsed timeline -- the Second World War was about a generation ago. But it's still whatever year it is in the real world.
Overlapping worlds -- the present is blessed by an infusion from 1978 in an altered reality. So their WWII was a generation ago, however far forward time moves. (Wait, however far?) [can be used piecemeal]
Total rebellion against expectation -- retcon so that Jesse, Jen, Todd, etc, are the parents of the JSAer's, having sent their children back in time to change history & defeat zombie Hitler's robot terminator army. Invert all parent-child relationships, add time travel, watch fandom plotz. [adapts to further sliding timescale, can be used piecemeal]
