DC's Identity Crisis. "Crisis of Conscience." in JLA.
Can we just admit that the whole mind-wipey thing is an awkward attempt to come up with a "justification" for characters getting personality implants & then spin a story hook that could let DC put lots of pages of product out?
It just doesn't make sense, ergo it's not in my fanon. Supposedly it's trying to explain a personality implant as a cack-handed attempt at rehabilitation gone horribly wrong, but creating more problems to wallow in out of this basis of ludicrousness.
koschei:
Yes, they should have spaced Light: you don't go after non-combatants and if you do, you die.
And of course, if this had been actual story, written as such in the first place, that would make sense. But it's not. It's continuity-porn backfill as an excuse for cruftfic.
I get it, I do. Just don't expect me to take it seriously.
